This current body of works are drawings in space. I use string woven at varying levels to create site specific installations. With these sculptures I reference ideas of interconnectedness, the theory that everything is mutually joined or related. Like colonies of ants, forming water crystals, or flocks of birds I use a combination simple interactions to create a complex systems of organization.

I’m interested in using my whole body as a drawing tool, such that these forms are expressions of the body moving through space. It is the interplay of both scale and architectural locations that are intended to impact the viewer on a physical level. Though each piece is carefully measured, I create them intuitively, with a minimum of advance planning. The sculptures that are left by my activity are the residue of contemplative, repetitive movement and private ritual.
